2020 Toyota Auris Hybrid Specs
2020 Toyota Auris Hybrid – The Toyota Auris, also known as the iM Corolla in the United States, has strong performance, even touted as the first mass-produced Toyota to offer hybrid drives in Europe.
Now, for the 2020 model, Toyota is introducing a third generation Auris and a new powertrain line to follow. It comes with a stylish new look on the outside, follows Toyota’s new design language, and takes the form of the right hatchback as opposed to the old, mini train.
Meanwhile, the interior is still a complete mystery, but that’s the name of the game, right?
2020 Toyota Auris Hybrid Engine
Toyota really pushed its hybrid drivetrains with the new Auris and has decided to abandon some of the engines offered by the previous Auris. Thus, the Auris 2020 is only available with one conventional engine or two different hybrid powertrain.
The Toyota Auris is actually offered with a choice of three different engines. One conventional, non-hybrid front, there is a 1.2 liter factory. On the front of the hybrid, there is a 1.8 liter or 2.0 liter engine with less power.
2020 Toyota Auris Hybrid Specs
The Toyota Auris 2020 is very different from the second generation model. Toyota must have taken the old train model and dumped it from a 10-storey window. With the old bat, Toyota engineers can arrange this sleek and stylish hatchback.
Up front, there are signs borrowed from the new Toyota Camry, as you will see with a much larger grille up front. The lower lip that hovers and the small round fog lights are also a nice touch.
And, somehow, Toyota managed to make the long lights look very good – the LED design inside the lamp made it stand out. In addition, the 3D display in advance is just interesting and is a big aggressor against anything in this niche.
Pillar A and long windshield, which allows the roof to slightly curl and the front end to be quite long. The beltline is actually rather high, which makes the side glass smaller but the upper body line that is higher from front to back is a very good accent.
Meanwhile, at the back, the Auris almost reminded me of the old Megane, because there was a little bubble in the buttocks. Where Toyota does the right things, are body lines that wrap around the back. Not to mention how the rear wheel wells seem to sit lower in the back than in the front.
Until now, the new Auris interior was a complete mystery. Toyota has not said a word about it and refused to let us look inside when exhibited at the Geneva Auto Show.
In fact, Toyota is so anal about keeping the secrets of the interior so that the windows are even dark to prevent and slip to the top. Chances are, Toyota will model the interior after the new Camry.
This is not too far from the driver’s focus style that we expect for the Auris, and the overall design will make a very good successor to the outgoing interior of the Auris. For now, however, bring everything with a grain of salt because it might or might not happen. Either way, Toyota won’t disappoint in this case.
2020 Toyota Auris Hybrid Release Date and Price
Toyota has not announced prices for the Toyota Auris 2020, but you can expect it to run between € 15,000 and € 25,000 throughout Europe. Here in U.S., which is calculated anywhere between $ 18,000 and $ 30,000.
