2021 Toyota Land Cruiser Redesign, Release, and Price

2021 Toyota Land Cruiser – Sold since the 2008 model and facelifted twice for a while, the Toyota Land Cruiser recently began launching a special edition. Last year we got Lexus LX 2019 Inspiration, this year we got the Land Cruiser Heritage Edition 2021.

This is likely to mean that changes to the guard model are imminent, the Land Cruiser 300-Series is on the horizon to replace the current 200-Series. When the Motor Authority asked Toyota SVP Bill Fay about the US that got the next generation, Fay replied, “We are fully committed to the Land Cruiser for the future.”

The reason for that question could be the Land Cruiser sales figures for the past 14 years, when the model never cleaned 5,000 units. The Lexus LX siblings sell better in larger quantities, but even clumping the two trucks, they have won 10,000 sales only twice since 2005.

In addition, the two largest regional markets for Land Cruisers are Australia and the Middle East, which have different regulatory regimes, and the Highlander 2019 has a three line option.

But the next Cruiser is expected to be a powertrain LS-ify formula, which means getting rid of V8 for V6. The 5.7 liter V8 with 381 horsepower, 401 pound-foot torque, and a 15-mile EPA rating per gallon combined must be lost.

The 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 on the Lexus LS 500 gets the nod to replace it, because Land Cruiser makes concessions to improve the economy and emission standards. Posters at a forum say it’s possible that the Dynamic Force version of the machine might appear. Like, the engine that makes 416 hp and 442 lb-ft in a luxury sedan and is mated to a 10-speed automatic, the same transmission is said to replace the eight-speed current in the Land Cruiser.

Automotive media predict hybrid cruisers, too, potentially with the naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 and 10-speed automatic on LS hybrids, removing 354 combined horsepower in the sedan.

2021 Toyota Land Cruiser Specs

The Japanese report contains dimensions for the Series 300, which barely deviates from the current truck. The new chassis frame is said to support an SUV that is 194.8 inches long, 77.9 inches wide and 75.6 inches high, at 112.2 inches wheelbase. That means the vehicle is only 1.6 inches taller and 0.1 inch shorter than what we have now

The mechanical components remain the same, which in the US means a 5.7-liter V8 that produces 381 horsepower (284 kilowatts) is channeled to a full-time 4WD system via eight-speed automatic. 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser receives significant refresh for the 2018 model so that changes below the skin are not expected in the near future.

The new Land Cruiser Heritage Edition will have a public debut in the 2019 Chicago Auto Show. Only 1,200 will be built, with sales starting late this summer.

There are some changes in it too. Black coating with bronze contrast stitches is the only color choice, and can be found everywhere. All-weather special floor mats and cargo liners are part of the package, and if you are expecting a three-line version, you should still use the standard model; Toyota will only offer a Heritage Edition as a five-passenger SUV. It will also only be offered in two exterior colors – Midnight Black Metallic or Blizzard Pearl.
