2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Review

2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro – First reintroduced in 1995, the Toyota Tacoma is currently in the third generation. With almost a quarter of a century of history behind it, the Tacoma nameplate has been established as one of the most powerful and reliable vehicles on the planet, and now this medium size pickup is undergoing refresher for the 2021 model.

The newest Tacoma is framed as “the most complete,” and in the guise of TRD, it seems to mate traditional off-road meat in rough things with the comfort of newly discovered and technological promises in the cabin.

However, considering the latest third generation debuted back in 2015, as well as a large flow of competition in all segments, is the Toyota Tacoma TRD 2021 still able to compensate?

As expected, the Toyota Tacoma TRD 2021 is equipped with a long list of equipment to bless it with skill in rough things.

Let’s start with TRD Off-Road, which comes with a Bilstein shock that is tuned by TRD and a locking rear differential, as well as technological items such as Hill Assist Control, Multi-Terrain Select, and Crawl Control.

Then there is TRD Pro, which gets the lighter 16-inch wheels mentioned, and the 2.5-inch internal shortcut shocks from Fox that are mated with new springs for the front and rear. Making all the handles is a set of strengthened Kevlar Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain tires.

Under the hood, you can get a Toyota Tacoma 2021 with a 2.7-liter DOHC four-cylinder that produces 159 horsepower and 180-pound of torque, or you can increase it to a 3.5-liter V-6 that produces 278 horsepower and 265 pounds -Feet torque.

However, Toyota was forced to renew the Tacoma style for the 2021 model, taking inspiration from the desert brand racing truck program.

That said, the exterior upgrade of Tacoma TRD 2021 is relatively simple when placed side by side with the exit model. The spotlight includes a series of new LED lighting throughout, a slightly revised grille, and a set of all-new wheel designs.

Let’s start with the TRD Sport model, which is equipped with a new 17-inch roller in the corners.

Moving backwards, TRD Sport is also equipped with chrome taillights, while the fascia is illuminated by LED fog lights. Further LED lighting is used for lighting and headlights during the day.

Furthermore, we have the Tacoma TRD Off-Road, which also features a new grille design, chrome taillights, LED fog lights and daytime LED lights with LED lighting.

Finally, there is a top class Tacoma TRD Pro class, which gets the most updates with the latest 2021 model refresh.

Automakers want to take advantage of the shift to trucks and SUVs as an opportunity to find new ways to package features and the ability to capture more customers wherever they can.
